Four Year College/University Application
General Procedures
1. All public colleges and universities in California prefer on-line applications. This
will be the last year UC and CSU will accept hard copy applications. San Jose State and
Cal Poly, SLO will only take on-line applications for the 2004-2005 school year.
2. A limited number of “Application Booklets “ will be made available.
3. Both UC and CSU websites will be open as of October 1, 2003
4. Applications for the CSU schools is October 1 to November 30, 2003
5. Applications for the UC schools is the month of November (1 – 30) only. The UC website will
be accessible for general information and tours starting October 1st but not for applications until November 1st.
6. For Private and Out of State Colleges you must email,
write or phone to request an application.
7. Read all information in the application materials before starting to fill out!
8. Always make a COPY of all your applications. (applications
have been known to be lost)
9. Be sure to include your application fee (check, credit card or money order)
10. Always use your full legal name,
no nicknames!
11. Make sure you are eligible for the schools you are applying to! Read the student profiles!
12. All college or scholarship applications should be sent “Certificate
of Mailing” if using the US Postal Service.
